QR code guide
The QR Code Designer creates downloadable QR codes for links, text and other short payloads. It is intended for practical uses such as business cards, posters, menus, invoices, packaging inserts, event signs and internal documents where a scannable code saves people from typing a long URL.
Custom colours, dot shapes and logos can make a QR code fit your brand, but readability should come first. A strong contrast between foreground and background is more important than decoration. If you add a logo, keep it small enough that the code still scans on older phones and in poor lighting.
Think about where the code will be used before exporting it. A QR code on a phone screen can usually be smaller than one on a poster across a room. Printed codes need enough physical size, a clean margin and a surface that does not distort the pattern. Glossy labels, curved packaging and low-resolution print can all reduce scan reliability.
Before printing or publishing a QR code, test the exported PNG or SVG on more than one device. Check that it opens the exact destination you intended, that the destination page is mobile friendly, and that the code remains scannable at the printed size. For public materials, avoid using links that may expire or redirect unexpectedly.
The most common QR problems are low contrast, too much logo coverage, no quiet zone, printing too small, or linking to a page that later moves. If the QR code is for a client, event or printed product, scan the final artwork rather than only testing the preview on screen.
For business use, consider using a stable landing page that you control instead of embedding a long destination that may change. That gives you a single place to update information later without reprinting every code.
When space allows, add a short visible URL or instruction beside the code so users understand what they are scanning.
This also helps accessibility because not every user can or wants to scan a code immediately.
